How Parents are Stealing the Gift of the Mass from their Children - Aleteia

  1. First, parents get to decide what to expose their children to or not. This is like the first rule of you Catholics who are always blathering on about your religious freedom and how it's being infringed upon. Second, this priest should keep his yap shut about what does and does not go on in the confessional. Those that do the confessing can choose whether or not to disclose what went on in there but not priests. I know from things other priests have said to me that the sanctity of the confessional is not kept.

    1. Moe: I actually agree with you... except for your last line. I've never heard a priest violate the seal of the confessional. The priest in this story didn't either since he's sharing something that he says he often has heard over the years of his priesthood therefore while he may be imprudent in sharing as he has, he isn't violating the seal since no one can be identified.
